Hello Dear Friends,
Wow, a lot has happened since I last wrote you before the Holidays! My question to you as we approach the end of January is "where are you?".
Are you full of hopes, dreams and vision or have you lost heart?
What exactly does it mean to lose heart?
You see sometimes when we are in the midst of trial, testing or difficulties, we lose our perspective, our "God view", our very heart itself. The heart grieves and seeks to escape. The Psalmist said, "Oh that I has wings like a dove, I would fly away and be at rest" Psalm 55:6
We stuff, we distract ourselves, we moan, we gossip, we even fall into "solution behaviors" we thought were long gone. Anything but submit ourselves to the Refiners fire. The book of James, says to count it "all joy" when we experience trial and temptation to quit. Job said, "when He has tried me, I shall come forth as gold". I don't know what your going through today but I know from experience that even the time of trouble is tempered and held by a loving Abba Fathers care.
